Cormorant's Fancy is Dan Diviney, Curtis Rockwell, Andy Rosenfeld, Beth Folkemer, Stephen Folkemer, Joel Folkemer & Margaret Folkemer.

The band was created during the fall of 2003 when a couple of Folk & Friends' Civil War band members began talking about a small breakout Irish band. Later discussions expanded the target repertoire to include all British Isle music. Huntingdon based Luthier Curtis Rockwell was asked to join as a vocalist/guitarist and to help develop our repertoire, build the band's guitars, and mesmerize the fans and rest of the band with his beautiful guitar playing and vocals. After reviewing a few dozen proposed names, the band picked Cormorant's Fancy. The cormorant is most likely the 'black bird' which is translated from O'Dubeannaig, the Irish ancestors of Diviney.

We play music of Ireland and the British Isles, including hard-driving songs, haunting slow airs, jig & reels and are available for concerts, festivals, & pubs in the Tri-State area (PA-MD-WV). In 2004, we were filmed for a small segment of a television advertisement for Gettysburg Tourism shown throughout the mid-Atlantic states. In 2005, we recorded soundtrack for a cable television documentary "The New Oxford Story" which aired on ACTV in April.
